Feelings of panic abound!

Well, I really wish I had all kinds of great things to report, but not the case here friends!

I got really sick a few weeks ago. That put me through the ringer. I then kinda started talking to this guy, but he ended up being a pig! No, he didn't have the swine flu...he was a giant DB you could say! Oh well...that was a couple of weekends out of my life. Then there's the Tigers...I cheered and cheered and cheered for them last Tuesday. Alas, no win. Now starts the fun. Good ol Matt and I started talking again. He loves me and wants to make it work...like a sucker that I am, I agreed to think about it. He said he would do anything, but has yet to prove he will do even one thing. I then went to the Lions game at which I met a guy standing in line at the concession stand. Very nice guy that eventually got my number by the time (like 20 minutes) LeeAnn and I got our concessions. He immediately started texting and eventually called me that night. Seems like a really nice guy. What's the problem you say...well...it's a four letter word. MATT. My heart stays connected to him...I can't seem to move on.

Then today I woke up and my furnace was out. I have sat here all day with all these thoughts going through my head waiting for the repairman to get here. He is here now. Yeah...may just be the batteries in the thermostat (that wasn't flashing low battery...I did do my research online before calling). Good news is that he is also fixing my fireplace that has been out since last winter. Can't stand the thought of how much this is going to cost me...he is mailing me the bill...I may faint when I get it, but I guess you could said the agony is prolonged!

I know there are lots of things to be thankful for, but sometimes the insane thoughts fill my head to the point I may burst. I am really looking forward to going to the MAC tonight and being able to talk to AJ. I get to go to Dale Carnegie twice this week and also get to go out with Peter. So many things to be be happy about, yet I have this overwhelming feeling that things are just never going to go my way...

Three letters keep coming to mind lately... FML.

Dale Carnegie Training

Went to Dale Carnegie Orientation tonight! I am very excited about this training! I will try to keep you up with how it goes.

Dating again...it's rough, but I am trying to have fun with it and fun is what I seem to be having! The anxiety over it if lessening and I am becoming more comfortable.

Lots of great things coming up and my way! I am just sure of it!

Love to all!

Been a really long time! So much has gone on, yet so much is still really just the same as my last postings!

The good news is I will be starting Dale Carnegie this week! I also joined for another torture session of the Weight Loss Challenge. I don't know why...Yes, yes I do...because Adrienne is doing it! I love her with all my heart and can't wait to spend one evening a week with her!

That's what I am doing for me in a nutshell!

Been having random dates the last couple of weeks. Well three dates with two guys to be exact. It's just so dang difficult for me! For being so outspoken and social, you would think it would come easier. I get so much anxiety over it. I have now told myself to just do it. Just go for it. Date. We'll see how that goes!

Peter and I had dinner tonight. I love that guy! He always listens to me ramble and always has to throw things in to make me think. Am I mature or not? Man...if I wasn't up all night last night thinking, I sure would be tonight!

Well, wish there was more to report right now. Sure could be a lot more if I shared all the drama and weirdness that finds it's way into my life, but I will spare you of that right now. Maybe some to come in the future!

Peace, love and happiness to all,

HK

Heather's Journey - Week 4 (02/05/2009)

Weight - 126.6 (-6.6 overall, putting me at 6% loss)

After not eating much this week, the scale really showed a loss. I know that next week probably won't be as good. I am feeling much better and have my full appetite back! I am also off detox!!!! I am very excited about that! My first real meal off detox is going to be lasagna! My plan is to have it for dinner on Sunday! I made homemade fresh spaghetti sauce to use as part of my lasagna sauce, and have ground turkey and spinich in mind! I CAN'T wait! I also have quinoa stuffed peppers, pita pizzas, and venision stew on the menu for the week!

Our workout was pretty tough this week. We did what Tom called the four corners. Around the track, the corners have room to stop and do activities. At each corner there were two activities, we had to sprint to the corner, do one of the activites, sprint to the next corner, do an activity until we made it all the way around and then do it all again doing the activity we didn't do the first time, then after all that run a lap as hard as we could. This was REALLY tough, especially after not eating so well all week. It really kicked my butt! Speaking of butt, mine aches! I think all the lunges worked muscles that have not been worked in a long time!

Ah, well, off to watch some boob-tube before I do some more cooking! All-in-all the week wasn't so bad. Guess week two of cooking for Jason will test my abilities! Wish me luck! :0)

Blah....just blah...

I am not feeling well still. It's not like I am sick, just not feeling well. I have no appetite and just feel like I have been sick, but I haven't. I don't know what it is. I did go to Yoga tonight, walked the track for 45 minutes and then took a nice hot shower. I am feeling a little better. Hopefully a good nights sleep will cure me! It's going to be a LONG week with something going every night and then a kickball tournament on Saturday! Kickball outside in Feb. Am I nuts!?!

Stupid house!

So, not only do I have walls with holes in it, carpet that needs to be ripped out, missing floor tiles in my lower level, a fireplace that doesn't work, but now my drains got clogged AGAIN! I had them cleared right after I moved in three years ago, but today had to have it done again because my washer drained all it's water on my floor! $282 later, I supposedly have clear drains! I am nervous to start the washer though!

I want to go back to an apartment...not really, but sure sounds good this week!

Heather's Journey - Week 3 (01/29/2009)

Weight - 130.2 (-4 overall)

A little better of a loss, but I did get another day of working out in. I am trying to do Yoga and walking/running on the track on Tuesdays, Zumba and working out with Tom on Thursdays. I am also setup to workout with my old trainer every other Wednesday with a group of people from A-O. On the odd weeks, I have Bible Study, so I need to find a way to get a workout in on a different day. So far Friday nights involve shopping, Saturdays involve cooking meals and items for the week as well as making salads for Sat-Mon, Sundays are my day of rest, Mondays I prepare all salads and snacks for the weekdays.

This week, Tom had us run a timed mile. I ran it in 9 mins 28 seconds. I was pretty excited it was that quick! I hadn't ran since before Thanksgiving. We then had to do as many modified push-ups in the CORRECT form (Not as easy done correctly as you would think). I did 30. Not too bad I guess. The biggest problem was that I did Tom's Go To Workout the night before and my arms were really barking. Not to mention I did a 1/2 hour of Zumba and ran a mile before this. THEN we had to do the Plank in the CORRECT form for as long as we possibly could. My arms were just a shaking after just 20 seconds. I know that I can easily do a minute on a good day, but this just wasn't going to be easy today. I got to 1 minute 15 seconds and had to drop. Not too bad! I am pretty happy with my progress! (The super news is that I got into my "skinny" jeans this week. They were WAY too tight previously. That makes me happy. May only be 4 lbs, but I can see results! I don't know when I will do measurements again. I like to think every 4 weeks, but knowing me, I will forget!

Detox...detox is going well. Not too difficult...last night I was feeling bitter about it. I just want pasta or pizza or peanut butter!!! All the healthy varieties of course! I just have 6 days to go counting today. Yeah...detox on Superbowl Sunday!!! YUCK! I can do it though.

Oh, other big news. One of my team members, Jason asked if I would be interested in making meals for him. He would of course pay me. He wants Lunch, Snacks, and Dinner 7 days a week. I am going to try it, but may say that I will just do weekdays. 7 days will be tough to get done with everything else! We'll see how it goes. I just have to be able to say it isn't working for me if it starts to become too much.

As I finish this, I am going to get dressed and head to the gym. Then home to cook. I have whole roasted chicken, venison bok choy and spanish rice on the agenda for today!

Heather's Journey - Week 2 (01/22/2009)

Weight: 132.6 (-1.6)

Not a great loss, but this time around I am doing the food myself. That means I am doing LOTS of planning, shopping, and preparing! It actually took a lot of time and energy so my activity wasn't the greatest as I was pretty worn out from all that this takes. I am hoping that I get into a routine and it gets easier! Oh, and I quit coffee...that may have something to do with my energy levels!

Tom gave us a handout of what he calls his "Go To Workout". He then took us to do this workout. It hits pretty much every major muscle, but really works the arms. I turned in my food log and he said it was great! Having already done this really helps.

Detox starts this week! Only items out of the center two circles...OH BOY!

Heather's Journey - Kick Off meeting (01/15/2009)

Weight - 134.2

Measurements:
Tricep - 10.5
chest - 34
waist - 30
hips - 37
thighs - 18.5

At this session we spent the entire time talking about nutrition. Found out that we would be reading the Chris Johnson book and doing outlines. We would also be doing a two week detox starting the next meeting. This means we will only be able to eat things out of the center two circles!

Starting my journey - catching you up

I started the weight loss challenge again! I am pretty excited about this since I spent the summer wrecking myself inside and out. I am mending the inside and have started the work on the outside. I am going to blog this journey of mine so I can look back and see my improvements so that maybe it can keep me motivated and responsible to report in to you.

Stay tuned for a few more blogs as I update the last few weeks and then continue week to week. Maybe day to day! :0)
